Lenovo: Use Eco-Friendly methods to help operate GoChain Blockchain

Computer manufacturing company Lenovo will support GoChain, a blockchain protocol startup, operate the blockchain network. Lenovo will give a hand to the network of GoChain, operating a signing node that “will be the first of its kind to operate for cooling in a liquid immersion data center,” a press release of Jan. 6 said.

An eco-friendly endeavor

Created by a company called Midas Green Technology, the mentioned data center cooling methods reportedly require less energy than other techniques, including air-based temperature control measures, the release noted.

Blockchain Resources Corp. is developing eco-friendly data centers using this efficient technology to run the hardware for Lenovo’s GoChain blockchain node.

Green mining

Powering blockchains can require significant energy and cost, so it goes without saying that different people and companies have thrown their hats into the ring in an attempt to make the process more efficient and environmentally friendly.

A report on Bitcoin ATM provider Cointed and its efforts in the world of green mining reported in February 2018. Chia, a technology company, also released a green paper on environmentally sensitive mining practices in July 2019.
